Grab The Games: A Quiver of Crows

It's time for another review boys and girls and this time I am really happy to present you A Quiver of Crows. A Quiver of Crows is Sheado.net's twin-stick shmup about crows who fight demons in order to restore peace in a land bewitched by a sinister darkness. During the journey, the crows obtain an arsenal of great magic to battle their foes. Some of the environmental elements can be used to your advantage in defeating the enemies.

The first thing I really loved in this game are the graphics and the well created world of the game. Unlike most shmups, this world is made up of flesh, bones, and dirt instead of the common rigid objects such as ships set in space and you can expect a lot of different environments and levels as well. Another aspect worth mentioning is that there are there are lot types of enemies but most of them do not prevent patterns so you can expect a lot of different behaviors and each hunts you down either by melee combat or from far away. Moreover, another positive aspect is that the game supports couch co-op action so grab a friend and get ready to play this addictive game!

Furthermore, the title supports keyboard-mouse and controllers so if you don't have a controller no worries you can still enjoy this title! As far as, the negative aspects are concerned, one big negative aspect for me is definitely the level of difficulty. The game escalates really quickly and it gets extremely difficult if you don't have a certain strategy.

Moreover, another small negative for me is that if you don't own a controller you may find the keyboard or mouse controls a little bit hard to get used to but that's on the player's point of you. Furthermore, despite the different patterns of the enemies someone may find the game a little bit monotonous since you just blast your way through the levels and occasionally you have to overcome some obstacles.

To sum up, the game is not bad but it is not perfect either. It is honestly fun but someone should consider also the negative aspects before buying it. It is a really hard game that provides lots of gameplay hours if you get used to it!

Verdict: 7/10
