Grab The Games: Attack of the Earthlings
Another day, another review for our fans. Today, I couldn't be happier not only that we have the opportunity to review it but also that we are going to present why this title is as fresh as it sounds! But what is this game? Is it worth the hype? Should you pick it up when available? Stick around, and you will find out now. Let's start by mentioning a few things about the game itself.
Attack of the Earthlings combines turn-based combat and stealth in a dark comedic single-player campaign, where you the player, take control of the native alien race to defend your home world from the invading humans. Galactoil, a comically dysfunctional energy corporation, is hell-bent on harvesting the known universe for energy and will drill anything in its incessant quest to line its pockets with profit.
However, their latest foray into energy exploration on Planet X13 has placed them into a bit of a pickle. The Swarmers, the native insectoid species, have another idea - to eat all the workers! To begin with, the very first aspect that impressed me is the graphics and in general the fantastic artwork. The levels are indeed well created and loved the soundtrack which is composed by Mikolai Stroinski (Vanishing of Ethan Carter, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Blood & Wine).
Furthermore, as far as the mechanics of the title are concerned, you can quickly get familiar with them. The tutorial also is quite extensive and offers the player an excellent way to learn tactics and more things about your enemies and what you will face next! As far as the negative aspects are concerned, well I honestly don't have much to say that would be the fact that some levels are frustrating to finish.
To sum up, the game is fantastic and is worth picking it up. It's like playing XCOM in reverse, and it has great humor as well. ! I would suggest picking it up IMMEDIATELY.
