Grab The Games: Day of Infamy

Today I am really happy to present you a game I was really looking forward to play called Day Of Infamy. But what is this title exactly? And what it has to offer compared to other shooter games? Let me first introduce you the game properly. Experience intense close-quarters battles in iconic WWII settings. Day of Infamy is a teamwork-oriented shooter which aims to be a continuation and evolution of the original Day of Defeat mod released in 2001 - brought to you by the creators of Insurgency.

It should be considered as a standalone WWII expansion of the famous game Insurgency. The title features some really impressive scenery, full of details and the game is well optimized so it will play in most PCs. The physics in this title are amazing as well. It has a lot of iconic WW2 battles, with breathtaking sceneries as I mentioned before. It has intense core infantry mechanics and a simplified HUD create a highly visceral and immersive experience. With a reinforcement wave system tied to objectives, the game maintains an emphasis on teamwork and coordination. Another aspect worth mentioning is that there are historic armies in the battles like the U.S Army with their authentic arsenal depending on your team's supply you can upgrade your gear too.

This will affect your appearance, weapons and pretty much everything. The game has also a lot of different modes. There are the multiplayer ones designed for up to 32 players engaging in sustained infantry combat, battling over territorial and destructive objectives that increase your reinforcements. There are 3 different modes called offensive, liberation and offensive. As far as the cooperating modes are concerned,

it features 8 player squads battle a challenging AI opponent in attack or defense modes. The player can choose between Stronghold, patrol and entrenchment. The title supports also achievement and steam workshop. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, I couldn't find anything of serious value to mention. The only thing I want is maybe a clearer UI like the one there is on Insurgency sharper and clearer one.

To sum up, the game is really amazing and is definitely worth picking it up. It definitely lives up to its potential and it can satisfy even the most demanding player.

Verdict: 9/10
