Grab The Games: Golem Gates

Another day, another review for our fans. Today, I couldn't be happier not only that we have the opportunity to review it but also that we are going to present why this title is as cool as it sounds! But what is this game? Is it worth the hype? Should you pick it up when available? Stick around, and you will find out now. Let's start by mentioning a few things about the game itself.

In a desolate land ravaged by ancient wars, you are the Harbinger, an outcast with the ability to manipulate and command nanites from The Ash a leftover power manifesting itself in your barren world's atmosphere. Ancient warrior machines spawn from Golem Gates while an unseen force compels you to take up arms. Wielding power hidden within The Ash, you'll battle the golems and unravel the mysteries surrounding their long-lost creators. Golem Gates blends elements of real-time strategy (RTS) and card battle. Collect cards (called Glyphs) containing your forces and powers. Strategically weave them into a deck to prepare for battle, and then create them on the field to defeat your enemies in fast-paced and highly tactical battles with streamlined management to keep the focus on the action.

Play singleplayer or multiplayer in local matches with bots, online matches with other players, single and co-op Survival, and a full single-player campaign. (Campaign not available in Early Access). To begin with, the very first aspect that impressed me is the graphics and in general the fantastic artwork. Even though they are simple, they are sharp and create an amazing atmosphere for everyone. What I also loved, is the wide majority of glyphs that are available. You can create your own strategies and adapt in almost every situation.

Moreover, another aspect I should mention is that you can take the fight anywhere you have forces. The game also features campaign mode, multiplayer modes, and co-op. You can instantly add more troops where you have sight or forces. This is helpful when creating your strategy, to be honest. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, I have to mention the fact that this game doesn't have a big player base since it has launched for a short period. A suggestion I also have is to add more harbingers with a different set of abilities.

To sum up, the game is fantastic despite the negative aspects and is worth picking it up. The game is delightful and kept me busy for hours! I can't wait how it will shape in the feature.
