Grab The Games: GUILTY GEAR Xrd -REVELATOR-
Another day, another review for our fans. Today, I couldn't be happier not only that we have the opportunity to review the new installment in the Guilty Gear series but also that we are going to present why this title is as cool as it sounds! But what is this game any way? Is it worth the hype? Should you pick it up when available? Stick around and you will find out now. Let's start by mentioning a few things about the game itself. Let's start with the basics. Revolutionary 3D cell-animation graphics further refined, and more game contents added!
The next-generation fighting game "GUILTY GEAR Xrd -REVELATOR-" is now out on Steam!
Carrying on the legacy from 1998 comes the next addition to the "Guilty Gear" series! All visuals have been tweaked to the finest detail and hand-polished by the animation masters to produce the top quality hand-drawn anime effect! Game contents revamped to provide for gamers of all skill levels, you cannot miss out on this one! To begin with, the very first aspect that really impressed me is the graphics and in general the art work of the title. They are really sharp and create an amazing atmosphere for even the most demanding players. The animations are really polished and there is a great attention to detail from the amazing arenas, to the players costumes. Moreover, I loved the extensive game modes. There are a lot of things to do in this title. From fishing for prizes to online multiplayer. Beginners can feel at ease with our step-by-step training program, from Tutorial Mode being remodified into an action game to learn the ropes, to the introduction of Stylish Mode that allows easy inputs for Special Attacks, and many more!
More experienced players can get better by learning new combos and the MISSION mode to teach about the characters' general tactics and techniques. I loved the story as well, it is full of cinematic content and it links to the series past for the players that never played it before. Moreover, someone should not forget to mention the online mode apart from the obvious reasons why we love multiplayer, I loved the fact that you can be with someone else in the same room and just talk or play using your avatars. The DLC characters are amazing as well and you also unlock them with in- game currency.
The deluxe edition comes with the extra characters unlocked, system voice pack with all the characters and an Arrange Costume Set for Elphelt. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, I would like to see an English voice acting in story and pretty much everywhere apart from the menu and the subs for the players that are not familiar with the Japanese language. It's not a big deal I know but I would just love to see this added.
To sum up, the game is really amazing and is definitely worth picking it up. It definitely lives up to its potential and it can satisfy even the most demanding player. If you loved the previous installments well there is no reason why you will not love this one as well! Fight on!
Verdict: 9/10
