Grab The Games: Hearthstone Battlegrounds
Another day, another review for our fans. Today I am thrilled to present you Hearthstone: Battlegrounds, which is a game within a game, to be honest. It may be presented as a new mode, but it could easily be a new standalone title. But what is this new mode/game? Is it worth the hype? Should you play it now that it is available? Stick around, and you will find out now. Let's start by mentioning a few things about the game itself.
Welcome to Hearthstone Battlegrounds, the brand-new auto-battling game mode that introduces a fresh, strategic, 8-player experience to Hearthstone. In Battlegrounds, you'll take on the role of a familiar Hero straight out of Hearthstone history, craft a powerful board of recruited Minions, and face-off in an action-packed series of duels until a single winner is crowned! Battlegrounds are everything you know and love about Hearthstone – familiar minion types such as Murlocs, Mechs, and Demons (oh my!), keywords, and cards – but played in a way you've never experienced before. First and foremost, I would like to mention that I love that you can actually play in Hearthstone with 7 more players at the same time without any issue or delays or anything like that. The mechanics introduced are quite simple and easy to get used to.
Every time you enter the Tavern, Bob will present you with a fresh line-up of minions willing and ready to be recruited onto your team. Each round before combat you will have the chance to recruit those minions. You can freeze them, or you can buy more on the next round or you can refresh the tavern for one coin. Furthermore, each round you can also upgrade your tavern and get more powerful minions. It may sound easy, but it's not. The trick is to combine minions that synergize with one another, in order to get more powerful each round and inflict more points to your enemies. Furthermore, the fact that you play just for fun and there are no rewards or pressure makes the game more fun and helps you relax even more without the "anxiety" of normal ranked mode that you can lose stars and have to fight your way back to achieve the rank you want.
Hearthstone Battlegrounds is all about fun and finding new ways to relax and have a good time. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, I honestly couldn't find any. It's delightful and adds a great twist to an already fantastic franchise. As far as the new expansion is concerned, the new mechanics (invoke, side quests, etc.) are excellent. Galakrond is also a beast in the game! It feels so good when you invoke you and get to its maximum stats. With so many new cards and new strategies that the player can create, I love how the game is updated from time time. However, other classes like the mage may find it challenging to counter Galakrond but, that's the point of the game. To be creative and change the way you play accordingly.
To sum up, Battlegrounds and the new expansion are really amazing, and it is definitely worth returning to the game if you have stopped playing Hearthstone. The game is delightful as it is, and I love the free stuff they are adding from time time to support as well the players that are not giving significant sums to buy sums.
