Are there any rock/metal fans in the house? Of course we do gather around so I can present you a new rock opera puzzle/platformer videogame from Basecamp Games called Karmaflow. Karmaflow: The Rock Opera Videogame is a puzzle platforming game. It is a unique spin on the traditional gaming experience. In Karmaflow, the game's story is presented entirely in the form of a rock opera, sung by some of the world's most talented rock voices. Karmaflow tells the story of the Karmakeeper, and his journey through several worlds. Each world is protected by a Guardian. These Guardians are burdened by a heavy conflict, which rages in each world. The Karmakeeper learns what happened in each world by hearing each Guardian out, but also listening to their counterparts. In the end, he decides what happens to the world and its inhabitants.

Play as the Karmakeeper and actively decide the way the rock opera and its story progresses in Karmaflow: The Rock Opera Videogame. Puzzle and explore your way through five different worlds. Change the environment, change the music...This is a game every gamer will love and let me be the first to tell you why. First and foremost the music in this game is performed by your favorite rock/metal artists from bands like Dragonforce, Gradle Of Filth, Epica etc. Another thing worth mentioning and one of my personal favorites is the art style of this title. Worlds came out of dreams or your nightmares full of detail and vivid colors. Who could expect that this will be the outcome of a 100% crowdfunded game?

The other personal favorite aspect of the game is that there is an adaptive music system in Karmaflow where your actions control the tone of the music and also the fact that there is an amazing blend of music, gameplay and action in this title in a really unique way that only the Karmaflow devs could achieve! In this game you control the world and its faith, the game doesn't control you!

I also loved the way karma is used in this game and that you can extract it and infuse it to the world around you (objects, creatures etc.) However there are some negative aspects of the game that I should mention. Even though the game gives you freedom sometimes I found myself lost where should I go? Can I jump here or I will die? Etc. Another disadvantage is the bugs that exist in this title, e.g. when you respawn from death music/dialog from the boss you have defeated still plays!

To sum I totally recommend this game to everyone not simply the rock or platformer fans but to people who would like to play a really unique and adaptive game that you will should remember for a long time. Karmaflow is the proof that not only rock is not dead but also it can co-exist with opera and the puzzle/platformer game genre!
