Grab The Games: LA Cops

Time to fight crime….in the 70s! What I am talking about? Of course i am talking about LA Cops. LA Cops is a fast, action packed 3D top down shooter set to a theme of 70s Cops in LA trying to do a tough job in a tough town. Gameplay includes an extra edge as you control two cops, using them strategically to get one up on the bad guys! A smart targeting system UI allows, you, the player to position your cops tactically whilst taking out the bad guys in real time.

The game is extremely addictive and challenging at the same time. Let's start our review with the positive aspects! The first thing that I loved about this title is definitely the graphics that look like they are ripped from a comic book and of course that amazing rock soundtrack that I loved listening throughout the game. Moreover, another positive aspect of the game is the whole 70's essence that the game has that it is definitely enhanced by the amazing art style.

The game also features a variety of weapons that can be either obtained as you kill the bad guys or by leveling up your characters. The leveling up system is another good feature of the game that it is definitely worth it since it will help you progress a little bit easier. The attributes that you can level up include health, speed, ammo clip size & damage. It is definitely worth mentioning that you can choose among 5 cops each one with different attributes. You can take 2 with you in each mission. Moreover, the game features cut-scenes between the levels that will introduce you the story of the game as well as the story of your team (the 5 cops I mentioned before).

However, there are some negative aspects I should mention in my review. The game get extremely repetitive after a while you just open door and shoot and that's it. Furthermore, the game is unbalanced because in the 3 difficulty options you can finish normal without getting a scratch and the next difficulty is like playing a game in hell mode. Furthermore, the levels are unbalanced as well because for example there are a few enemies in the 1st floor and in the second the place is crawling with bad guys!

To sum it all up, the game is really amazing and the 70's cop action wasn't so fun in a game. The negative aspects may ruin the game a little bit for you but if you love some good challenge then this is your game! I had a really great time playing this game and with a few fixes it can be way better.
