Grab The Games: Lethe - Episode One
Today I am more than happy to present you, not only a really cool title but also a game that is developed by a great studio who is also half Greek and as Greek I couldn't be happier with the outcome and how high the quality of this title is. Of course I am talking about Lethe (Episode one of the series). But let's start from the beginning. What is this game? Is it worth picking it up? Stick around and you will find out right now. Let's start with the story of this game.
Lethe is a first person adventure with survival horror elements. Explore an atmospheric and frightening world and uncover the dark secrets of your origins. Crushed under the debts of his recently deceased step-father, Robert Dawn, a journalist with an unremarkable career, decides to hunt down his origins. Everything points to a quiet mining settlement. Shortly after his arrival, Robert comes into contact with an unknown substance and develops psychokinetic abilities that feed on his life energy. As tension rises, he is faced with another, even darker threat, quickly turning the trip into a terrifying battle for survival. Cool right? But of course there is more.
To begin with, the very first aspect that really surprised me is the graphics and in general the art work of the title. They are really sharp, unique and create an amazing atmosphere for even the most demanding players. The levels are really well created full of details and the story is not only tight but also has a sense of mystery as you progress through each chapter wondering what will happen next? Why I am doing all of these? Who I really am? The music is also stunning and feats perfectly the whole spooky atmosphere.
It will definitely remind you of games we all loved like Penumbra and Amnesia. You have superpowers as well. Psychokinesis will be very useful during your journey. You will ask me now are there any negative aspects of the title that you should be aware of before purchasing? Well, there aren't any. If I had to mention one it would be that you can finish Episode 1 within 4 hours. But there will be more episodes in the future and I can't wait to see how the title will be shaped.
To sum up, the game is really amazing and is definitely worth picking it up. It definitely lives up to its potential and it can satisfy even the most demanding players.
