Grab The Games: Lumber Island - That Special Place

A new horror game emerged into Steam recently called Lumber Island-That Special Place! It seems really promising! So let's see what the game is about and if it is worth picking up! "Back in 1970s, this island was known as the "Lumber Island". It abounded in rare wood species of the highest quality, which were sought for by the craftsmen from all over the world many of them took trips to the island in person, to pick the best material.

The island thrived on private manufactures and tourism... until deposits of oil were found under it. This finding doomed the island: its inhabitants were made to leave their home land, the wood was chopped down to the ground. And after the oil had been pumped out to the last drop, the island was left abandoned and totally exhausted." You awake to find yourself in a life-boat ashore an island, and the last thing you can recollect is having fun at a great yacht party. A really interesting story in my opinion and this is the first thing that attracted me in the game!

Furthermore, the game has an amazing atmosphere that is enhanced by the amazing graphics, the sounds and the music used in the game! In this game also there is no inventory system and instructions/tutorial so you have to solve the puzzles and find what to do on your own. Another positive aspect of the game is that everything is based on exploration. In order to find what happened to you and about the island you have to do it on your own. So keep in mind exploration and atmosphere are two aspects essential in this game!

Moreover, I have to mention that the guy that is chasing you is really scary and you have to hide and keep far distance since it will kill you instantly. Another positive is of course the price of the game! As far as the negative aspects are concerned, there are only a few of them to mention. The saves are a few and sometimes you have to start from scratch! Moreover, I would like to see an options menu because I am always frustrated about blur in games and I disable it!

To sum up, the game is really amazing, fun and atmospheric and it will keep you busy for some hours! The price is tempting as well soooooo pick it up!
