Grab The Games: Out There: ? Edition
I am really proud today my readers because we had the chance to play Out there Ω Edition and let me tell you one thing first. It is a lot more than a simple port from mobiles to pc that I bet a lot of you would think! But let me properly introduce you the game first. Out There is a hard sci-fi space exploration game blending rogue like, resource management and game book mechanics. You are an astronaut awaking from cryonics not in the solar system, but... out there... in a far and unknown place of the galaxy.
In Out There, you will have to survive, tinkering your ship with what you can gather drifting in the void, and spot garden planets to refill your oxygen supply. Space is a hostile place; dangerous and mysterious adventures will mark each step of your travel. You will not only meet intelligent species that won't care about you, but also deal with ancient powers linked to your destiny and the fate of mankind itself. Survival and understanding of what is really at stake in the galaxy is the core of what Out There has to offer.
The first think that really impressed me in this game is the novel/comic like type of graphics. There are so amazing designed that you will easily think that you are reading an interactive comic book but they are in a game. So impressive. Furthermore, another thing I loved the roquelike feature. Every time you start a new game different possibilities, different trip a total different adventure, so it is really worth restarting the game over and over just to see how far you can go in this new adventure under different rules and circumstances. Moreover, I love the fact that in this game there is no combat it is just you against the environment which really harder than you think, don't be fooled.
Another amazing aspect that should be definitely mentioned is the text adventures that combined with the cut scenes is truly amazing and unforgettable. The crafting system and the chance to find new technologies is so amazing as well! Also, for the record, I would like to state that we have played the beta version so expect a lot of things to be improved and brand new features to be added. Out there is one of the game that even if I tried really I just couldn't find a negative aspect to mention maybe one thing will be that there is a chance you will die instantly if you have a bad luck but this is part of the roquelike feature!
To sum it all up, Out there offers an unforgettable sci-fi experience that you will definitely you want to replay and relive again and again and again until you unfold all the mysteries.
Verdict (based on our beta experience): 8, 5/10
