Grab The Games: Pro Evolution Soccer 2016

It's time for PES 2016...so I gathered all my friends yesterday and this was the best was possible to review a game like this. In case, there are some people that don't know what is PES. Pro Evolution Soccer is a football simulation game developed by PES Productions and published by Konami in various consoles including PC. This year's game celebrates the 20th anniversary in making football games and the game has evolved a lot through the years!

PES 2016 is also the Official Video Game of UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup. The first think that impressed me in this year's installation is definitely the new improved team intelligence, an aspect that improves the whole gameplay of the game and gives both the experienced and the amateur players the chance to score some spectacular goals. I also loved the dynamic weather in matches. The rain can start during a match which is really incredible. There are also more animations which make the whole movement of the players more human and more realistic. Furthermore, there is a new engine which improved the player models and all the lighting during matches. Another positive aspect worth mentioning is definitely the new improved online experience with huge changes and the new master league is amazing!

There are also the classic 1vs1 matches to play with your friends online of locally. Unfortunately, these are all the positive aspects of the game. There a lot negatives this year and these explain the low rating of the game on Steam by the users. First and foremost, the graphics on PC are a total disappointment compared to PS4/XBOX ONE graphics. There are also no detailed setting to change the graphics only 3 options, low, medium and these are all the options you get.

Another negative is that the game requires a constant connection to the internet to be playable. Moreover, there is no option to play the game using one controller and a keyboard which is a huge disappointment if you don't have 2 controllers available. The team rosters are also out of date and Konami didn't get license for all the teams in the game so some major teams are in the game with a different name!

To sum up, I had great expectations from PES 2016 but I was let down. Personally, I think Konami should have been bolder this year and upgrade the graphics a lot and create a next-gen experience just like it did on PS4! I don't say the game is not good at all it is just we expected more from PES this year!
