Grab The Games: Pro Evolution Soccer 2017

It's time for PES 2017 ladies and gentleman...so I gathered a few of my friends like we did last year and this was the best way possible to review a classic football game like this ,with friends and beers.. In case, there are some people that don't know what PES is. Pro Evolution Soccer is a football simulation game developed by PES Productions and published by Konami in various consoles including PC.

The game is the 16th installment in the Pro Evolution Soccer series. Before I start my review I will mention one more time that I am talking about the PC version of the game. The first think that impressed me in this year's installation is definitely the new gameplay experience it offers compared to the previous installments of the title and as the game advertises as well get ready to control reality. The players now control the ball in unique ways compared on where and how you control them. This makes the title more realistic and closer to real life football. Another aspect I surely have to mention is that for the first time in a football game, the AI will learn how you play and adapt accordingly. In the field you will see your players trying to get the ball or defend while in a difficult situation.

Moreover, there are hundreds of new animations have been added to bring the players to life and goalkeepers have more natural reflexes and jumps. There are also new scout/transfer features if you play my club. Unfortunately these are the only positive aspects in the game. Just like the previous year's game there a lot negatives reviews and these explains the low rating of the game on Steam by the users. First and foremost, the graphics on PC are a total disappointment compared to PS4/XBOX ONE graphics. For another year, PC users got disappointed waiting for a really not only gameplay wise but also graphic experience.

Sometimes you think you play the game on PS2/3 especially when you check out the crowd in the game. Another negative is that, there is no option to play the game using one controller and a keyboard which is a huge disappointment if you don't have 2 controllers available. There are also fewer official teams in the game like Juventus and Real Madrid which are missing. One of the aspects that got improved this year is that there are live updates concerning the player's condition and other aspects of them which I found really cool.

To sum up, I had great expectations from PES 2017 but I was let down like last year. Personally, I think Konami should have been bolder this year and finally upgrade the graphics a lot and create a next-gen experience just like it did on PS4! I don't say the game is not good at all it is just we expected more from PES this year!

Verdict: 7/10
