Grab The Games: Solstice Chronicles MIA
Finally we have our hands on Solstice Chronicles: MIA on Steam, a few days now, and I couldn't be happier not only that we have the opportunity to preview it but also that we are going to present why this title is unique! But what is this game? Is it worth the hype? Should you pick it up when available? Stick around and you will find out now. Let's start by mentioning a few things about the game itself.
Solstice Chronicles: MIA is a twin stick shooter in which players control the difficulty by managing their threat level through special skills. The Earth was overrun by STROL virus. What little was left of mankind colonized Mars, and established a society ruled by powerful corporations. But Mars isn't welcoming, and a violent storm threatens to tear the colonies apart. In a race against time, both the corporation and insurgents will stop at nothing to find the cure and reclaim the Earth. As the virus inevitably spreads through Tharsis colony, the players must fight the mutants, the storm and the odds to find the cure before it's too late. To begin with, the very first aspect that really surprised me is the graphics and in general the art work of the title. They are really sharp, unique and create an amazing atmosphere for even the most demanding players.
The levels are really well created full of details, surprises around every corner and even on easy mode the game is challenging. Furthermore, I loved the abilities of the drone. They can really change the outcome of the battle. It can bring you supplies, use the bomb ability and even more. The skill tree is also satisfying with a lot of things to evolve/upgrade. There will also be 4 classes available Assault, Demolition, Hellfire, and Terminator.
The threat level indicator is extremely useful as well and a good addition to the game. Local co-op will also be available and different modes as well. Despite the early status of the title it is bug-free so far and really well developed. As far as for the negative aspects, it is really early to say since we played the Alpha version and things are subject to change.
To sum up, after playing only a short preview of the game, I am really impressed with Solstice Chronicles: MIA. It is honestly AMAZING, worth checking out and I can't wait to see how it will shape in the feature. If you want to support a game with a great potential well buy it instantly when available.
