Grab The Games: Stairs
It's time to review Stairs, a horror game many people anticipated for a long time, especially if you played the demo a year ago (or more). But what is Stairs? And is it worth picking up? STAIRS is a first-person atmospheric psychological horror game that takes players through the stories of three missing people as seen through the eyes of journalist Christopher Adams.
Start preparing yourself now, for to descend down these steps is to descend into madness. STAIRS is inspired by real-life events, twisted into an original tale of terror, despair and sadness. Using a camera and journal, players set out to unravel the grizzly mysteries behind three stories - Valerie Berkley, a high school graduate; James Reed, a young businessman; and Jean Jowars Remens, a charismatic pastor. What happened to them? What do they have to do with each other? Creep down the stairs and discover the truth for yourself if you dare.
To begin with, the first thing that really amazed me is that the whole game is inspired by real-life events and that aspects makes the game even more interesting. Furthermore, the game has amazing graphics, there are sharp, with various areas to explore and with dark environments that will make your hair rise. Moreover, I loved the use of the camera in this title. You can use it to capture supernatural elements around you and also uncovered facts about the main story and everything can be done at your own pace. The use of puzzles is one of the elements that have to be mentioned.
The puzzles are not easy so don't expect an easy ride. They are part of the main story and require a keen eye and attention to details. Moreover, this title has a strong store as well as amazing horror elements like jump scares and more that I will not uncover. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, there was only one negative for me. The game finale, I expected something more, a cut scene or something like that after getting out of the last door it was just not enough for me.
To sum up, the game is really amazing despite the negative aspects . It is worth picking up especially if you are a horror lover. Stairs is a game that will not fail your expectations despite the ending controversy for me.
