Grab The Games: SUPERHOT The Card Game

Today I am really happy and honored to present you a game I was really thrilled to review, with the help of my friends of course, called SUPERHOT: The Card game. We gathered at my house and played a lot of different modes, I even tried it alone since there is single player option as well. It was so much fun we couldn't stop playing. But let's start from the beginning. What is SUPERHOT: The card game? Is it worth picking it up? Stick around and you will find out right now.

Let's start with some info first because I am really sure that this title sounds familiar and you will be probably wandering is it good as a tabletop game? Part strategy, part shooter, and undeniably stylish, SUPERHOT is the bestselling independent FPS in which time moves only when you move. After its Steam and Xbox One releases, SUPERHOT is taking its unique game mechanisms to the world of tabletop games. In the micro deck-building SUPERHOT Card Game, based on Agent Decker, you use abilities and items to deal with increasing threats. Threats you eliminate are added to your hand, giving you improved abilities and more options while bringing you closer to victory but you need to be careful because the more cards you use, the faster you move through time (represented by a line of obstacles moving in your direction).

To begin with, the very first aspect that really surprised me is the top quality of the product and how portable it really is. You can take it pretty much everywhere you go. The game has huge replayability value as well since it can take you from 20 minutes to 40. You want to find out more right? The game has 4 available modes that I should definitely mention. Solitaire where you play against the system, Cooperative: Two players play against the system, Competitive: You face off against another player, with this player representing the system, Cooperative against another: Two players team up against a system player. The art work of the title is impressive as well, there are a lot of details in the cards and each one feels like it's taken straight from the game.

Furthermore, the mat that comes with the box is really helpful and it helps you set up your cards in the correct way. Moreover, I should also mention that the team behind this has really thought of everything. You will never get stuck during a play through for example, you can veto a goal at the start of the turn in case you can't fulfill it or if it is too hard for you but be aware because you will have to face it on the next round. What about the negative aspects you may say? I honestly couldn't find something that really bothered me about this tabletop edition of a really successful game. If I had to mention one this would be that at first rounds the game may be really slow and if someone is not experienced with this kind of titles, it may take him some time to get used it compared with other more experienced players. This definitely won't stop him from having fun that's for sure.

To sum up, SUPERHOT: The card game is a KS success for a reason. It offers all the great aspects we loved in the original game with a tabletop twist that makes the title fun for everyone. Why not love it? Buy it instantly! It definitely lives up to its potentials.

I would like of course to thank Board & Dice for this chance!

Verdict: 8/10
