Grab The Games: Survarium
And guess what? I am back with another review for all you guys! This time I am extremely happy to review Survarium. But what is this game? Is it worth the hype? Should you play it ASAP? Stick around and you will find out now. Let's start by mentioning a few things about the game itself. Survarium is a free online massive multiplayer first-person shooter (MMOFPS). The events take place in the near future in the aftermath of an global environmental disaster, in a world where only one man in a hundred survived, in a world where anarchy and chaos reign, where every step can be your last, where every hour you have to prove your right to live!
The game takes place in different locations, offering the survivors a variety of tactical options, secrets and valuable story-related information. Deadly traps await the unwary players among you. It is time to adapt to the unforgiving new world to survive! To begin with, the very first aspect that really surprised me is the graphics and in general the art work of the title. They are really sharp, beautiful and they can satisfy even the most demanding players. The levels are all well designed, full of small details and as I mentioned before every location offers different approach for every kind of player stealth or snipe other players form distance. You can do anything in Survarium. As far as the game modes are concerned, there are different ones that can satisfy even the most hardcore shooter funs. We have team deathmatch, free to play, artifact hunt, co operative playthrough and many more. There is also single player available with bots so even if you don't want to play with other humans, bots will always be available for you.
Whilst the game is free to play there are regular updates and a lot of leveling up for your characters, skills and decent weaponry with a lot of modifications available as well. As far as the negative aspects are concerned unfortunately they are a lot to mention which I hope will be fixed in the feature. First and foremost, for some reason the download time if you didn't download the game on Steam or if you waited for the launcher to do even a small update was huge. It took me around 4 hours to download the full game from the launcher while downloading the same from Steam was around 35 minutes.
The bots difficulty is another issue, they seem to kill you with a few shots and punch you to death in other instances, an option about the difficulty would be highly appreciated. Another negative aspect is the annoying (at least for me) message about my ping been high with that actually not affecting the gameplay. In other issues, even though there is an anti-cheat option there are still people with aim bots and also the waiting times sometimes are like 2 minutes+ and you get to match with people with way better gear than you.
To sum up, the game despite the negatives is good to play, it's free-to-play and definitely not pay to win. I personally hope that all this negative aspects will be faced before the title exits the beta and that this title will get the attentions it deserves.
Verdict: 6/10
