Grab The Games: The Crow's Eye

Another day, another review for our fans. Today, I couldn't be happier not only that we have the opportunity to review it but also that we are going to present why this title is as cool as it sounds! But what is this game? Is it worth the hype? Should you pick it up when available? Stick around and you will find out now. Let's start by mentioning a few things about the game itself. Set against a backdrop of psychological terror, The Crow's Eye is a first-person adventure in which you control a young man trapped in the abandoned Crowswood University, once a reputed medical college.

The complex story is narrated through documents, recordings, and radio, which tell the experiences of policemen and professors who, twenty years ago, were involved in a series of mysterious disappearances. In order to escape, he will be forced to investigate his relation to obscure facts, and decipher the enigmas that his stay there implies. Along the way he will find more than one reason to remain at Crowswood. You will try to overcome all the dangers that lie there while investigating the mysterious disappearances of students and faculty 20 years earlier.

To begin with, the very first aspect that really impressed me is the graphics and in general the art work of the title. They are really sharp and create an amazing atmosphere for even the most demanding players. The levels and in general the set of the game is simply spooky. This dark atmosphere combined with the soundtrack and all the sound effects in general made me love the game even more. Another positive aspect of the game is definitely the story. The intense and deep story narrated through recordings, documents and radio made me want to play the game even more.

As far as the negative aspects are concerned, judging from the pre-release version, I think that the HUD and the UI could have been designed better in order to be more stylish and fit better the atmosphere I mentioned before. Furthermore, I thought the dangers that occasionally appear during puzzles or investigations are poorly designed and you can kill some of them pretty easily for example by shaking the mouse button.

To sum up, the game is really great despite the negative aspects and is definitely worth picking it up. As I mentioned before there are some negative but this didn't stop me for having fun.

Verdict: 7.5/10
