Grab The Games: The Falling Sun
The Falling sun is a really promising horror game that I am sure you will all enjoy. But what exactly is The Falling Sun and what it offers? From a UK based indie studio comes The Falling Sun, a first person, horror game set in post-WW2 Burma. The Japanese have withdrawn after the Allied victory and British forces regain control of the region, however when a small armored column goes silent, a young lieutenant is sent on one last mission to find out what happened. Upon his arrival he is faced with horrors beyond that of the World War, will you be able to overcome them? The Falling Sun provides a gripping story in a refreshing environment all the while keeping you on edge around every corner.
The atmosphere will keep you on your toes, keep a keen ear and don't always rely on your weapon to get you out of harm's way. With a series of acts you can immerse yourself in the game's story through campaign mode; or even face the onslaught of horror in survival. Whatever you choose to do, keep your wits sharp. The game currently ships with two acts and a survival mode but further installments will be added without additional cost from the standard game price.
The first think that I loved in this game is definitely the story line which is really good and the game is not only a horror game but a story based game with a lot of depth in both aspects. Furthermore, as far as the horror aspect is concerned you can get a lot of jump scares and I found looking behind my shoulder many times. Moreover, the game is not easy at all. There are acts that re really hard to complete some of them with puzzles, some others that you should survive as much as possible. As far as the music and the sounds are concerned the new update fixes and improved a lot of sounds in the game and the music is really good.
Apart from the main story there is a mode where you can survive a lot of waves of enemies. Not easy at all but definitely extends the game and it is worth replaying over and over. Also the price of the game is really challenging and makes the game even more worth getting. The updates are constant too. However, there are some negative aspects people should consider before purchasing. The graphics are not the strongest aspect of the game but they are not bad either. The animations need improvement as well. Last but not least, the parts of the acts are really short.
To sum up, the falling sun is a really worth playing horror game. Don't let the negative aspects discourage you. You should definitely give it a go. It is only 5$ what you have to lose? You will definitely enjoy it!
Verdict: 8/10
