Grab The Games: The Perils of Man
And when you thought the point & click genre is dead. The perils of man indie game appear to prove that the genre is alive and kicking. But what is the perils of man? Imagine getting a glimpse into the secret clockwork of the universe. Imagine a machine that can crack the code of destiny and give you the power to tinker with fate. Imagine discovering that for generations your family has concealed this power from the outside world.
Ana Eberling may only be a teenager, but she is about to confront the biggest questions of life as she tries to solve the mystery of her father Max Eberling, a rogue scientist who vanished when she was just a little girl. Perils of Man is the result of a collaboration between ex-Lucas Arts' Bill Tiller and Gene Mocsy and Swiss developing studio IF Games to reboot the beloved classic graphic adventure game with striking 3D animations, challenging puzzles and a moving story that will leave you pondering its profound implications.
The first thing I loved in this game are the graphics and how vivid the world where your adventures take place is. Another thing I liked is definitely the different locations available throughout the game that are full of interactive objects and things to do. An aspect which makes the game even more worth playing. Furthermore, another aspect worth mentioning is definitely the fact that you can travel back to real world events and stop them from happening but not only that. With these events you will be able to discover a dark secret and continue your story. Another positive aspect is the puzzles in the game.
The puzzles are really challenging and hard sometimes and really force the player to think and explore the environments of the game really carefully in order to solve them. The story of the game is really amazing and catchy. The soundtrack simply astonishing. The voice acting is also good as well. However, there are some negative aspects that I should mention. One of the negatives is the fact that the hint system is not that helpful and the puzzles are really hard sometimes and I was just looking everywhere to manage solve the puzzle.
To sum it up, this game is an excellent point & click adventure with good story and satisfying puzzle to solve. Don’t let the negative aspect discourage you, the game is really worth picking up if you are a fun of this type of games.
