Grab The Games: Tokyo 42
Another day, another review for our fans. Today, I couldn't be happier not only that we have the opportunity to review it but also that we are going to present why this title is as cool as it sounds! But what is this game any way? Is it worth the hype? Should you pick it up immediately? (If you don't already own it) Stick around and you will find out now. Let's start by mentioning a few things about the game itself.
Tokyo 42 is a hyper-stylish isometric open-world shooter. Framed for a murder you didn't commit, you'll delve into a world of assassins, deadly corporate intrigue and...tactical cats. Spin the camera to see every angle of this beautifully hand-crafted micro Tokyo, as you discover a huge range of weapons, secrets and stories. Skilful shooting, bullet physics, sneaky stealth and crowd simulation all play a role in this ultra-colorful kinetic frenzy. A single player open-world story mode and a host of multiplayer modes wait in this unique and critically acclaimed action masterpiece. To begin with, the very first aspect that really impressed me is the graphics and in general the art work of the title.
They are really sharp and create an amazing atmosphere for even the most demanding players. The story is also great and I love how there is a unique selection of missions to choose from each one better than the other. The game offers a unique selection of weaponry each one upgradable with money you can acquire from missions. The way you will approach missions is totally up to you. You can go all stealth-mode or go down guns blazing.
Another aspect I should also mention is definitely the soundtrack which is also amazing and enhances the overall atmosphere of the game. Now, time to mention the negative aspects of the title. Some players will find it extremely hard to get used to the camera position and the aiming of the title. Some people will love it, some others will hate it. I personally found that challenging but it didn't bother me that much.
To sum up, after playing the game for some time I found it a gem for everyone's library and something I would be more than happy to play again and again. DEFINITELY pick it up!
