Grab The Games: Volume
Time for another review guys and this time we have VOLUME. A stealth game like no other that recently got out and receives extremely positive reviews. So, let's see is it worth it? Is it that good? Let me tell you a few things about the main story first. Locksley is the main character of the game but it doesn't kill.
That would be far too easy. Instead, he commits his crimes through stealth. Sneaking, distracting, avoiding. As he grows in popularity and notoriety, so will his inventory. An arsenal of gadgets await discovery in a quest to rob from the rich and give to the unheard. A hundred challenging and exciting levels lie ahead, but that is only the beginning of the Volume. The community is free to build their own challenges, even releasing their own takes on the core levels. Volume will evolve, warp and grow as players make their mark on Locksley's legend. Volume is a near-future retelling of the Robin Hood legend, starring Danny Wallace (Thomas Was Alone), Charlie McDonnell and award-winning, critically-acclaimed actor Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes) as Gisborne.
The first thing that really impressed me is definitely the graphics and the whole futuristic design of the title. The game features amazing narration and voice over that enhances the overall experience of the player. The tutorials of the game are also good and help the player enter the world of VOLUME smoothly. Furthermore, the game has more than 100 levels that promise you hours of gameplay.
Apart from the story mode, in which every few levels a new element is introduced that makes the game even more difficult, there are user-generated levels and pre-made ones as well. Moreover, the user can create its own levels with a full set of tools available to him. As far as the negative aspects are concerned, there aren't many of them if I had to mention 1 it would be the AI I would love a more challenging AI with longer vision and maybe the player could access more stun weapons from the start.
To sum up, VOLUME offers an excellent stealth experience. It is challenging and made with care and attention to detail. It is 110% fun and I totally recommend it especially if you consider its current price.
