Grab The Games: What Remains Of Edith Finch

Today, I am really happy to present you a game I was really happy to know that it was coming to Steam and of course I am talking about What Remains of Edith Finch. After playing only a few hours, I couldn't be happier not only that we have the opportunity to review it but also that we are going to present why this title is unique! But what is this game? Is it worth the hype? Should you pick it up when available? Stick around and you will find out now. Let's start by mentioning a few things about the game itself.

What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of strange tales about a family in Washington state. As Edith, you’ll explore the colossal Finch house, searching for stories as she explores her family history and tries to figure out why she's the last one in her family left alive. Each story you find lets you experience the life of a new family member on the day of their death, with stories ranging from the distant past to the present day. The gameplay and tone of the stories are as varied as the Finches themselves. The only constants are that each is played from a first-person perspective and that each story ends with that family member's death.

Ultimately, it's a game about what it feels like to be humbled and astonished by the vast and unknowable world around us.

Created by Giant Sparrow, the team behind the first-person painting game The Unfinished Swan. To begin with, the very first aspect that really surprised me is the graphics and in general the art work of the title. They are really sharp, unique and create an amazing atmosphere for even the most demanding players. The world and more particular the house of the Finch family, is really well created full of details and an amazing soundtrack as well. It is really stylish and the story is solid with exploration elements and an amazing narration as well.

Moreover, another aspect that really impressed me is definitely the fact that while you play and uncover more parts of the story, it is like reading a book and a new adventure awaits its time you turn the page. What an amazing journey! As far as the negative aspects are concerned, the game is a little bit short around 2-3 hours for most people and you mostly walk and explore different areas of the house.

To sum up, after playing the game for some time, I am really impressed with the title. It is honestly AMAZING and worth checking out. The story is what captivates you most and creates a childhood like atmosphere. I totally recommend it offers a 100% unique experience.

Verdict: 9/10
