Grab The Games: Woolfe - The Red Hood Diaries

After investing some hours in the game I can say for sure..my childhood was really boring with the classic Red Riding Hood story. This game brings the classic tale in a whole new level! But what is this game for the ones who haven't heard about it? Woolfe - The Red Hood Diaries is a cinematic fable featuring a vengeful Red Riding Hood.

All grown up, cried out and armed with an axe, our heroine embarks on an odyssey to avenge the death of her parents. Buckle up for a surprising take on the Red Riding Hood tale as you know it, some good old-fashioned action platforming, fun combo-based hack n slash combat and rewarding environment puzzles exploring the attractive fantasy universe.

The first thing that I loved about this game is that it is not the classic bed time story. The game has a really unique story that I am sure it can satisfy even the most demanding gamer. Another positive aspect is definitely the graphics and the art work. The 2, 5 D action platforming combines with the atmospheric universe of Woolfe is a killing combination that offers different locations and rich exploration value of the city and the other locations of the game. Furthermore, Red Riding Hood is not the young and innocent girl we have used to from our stories.

Armed with her axe she won't hesitate to kill their enemies and come one step closer in revealing the truth about her family. Furthermore another think I loved about this game is the narration and the small secrets you can find in each level if you look close enough! However, there are some negative aspects I should mention. The game is really short even for a part one of the game. You can finish it in 2 or 3 hours tops. Another negative for me is that the combat even that it is cool it is really static with no good mechanics at all. It could have been way cooler something that would definitely satisfy the gamers more.

To sum it up, the game is really satisfying and well given but with some serious negatives for me for the current price. I had a good time playing it for sure and it really reminded the atmosphere of Alice Madness: Returns. This indie studio has achieved something great despite the negatives!
