Grab The Games: Yooka-Laylee

Finally we have our hands on Yooka-Laylee for Steam, a few weeks now, and I could't be happier not only that we have the opportunity to preview it but also that we are going to present why this title is unique! But what is this game? Is it worth the hype? Should you pick it up when available? Stick around and you will find out now. Let's start by mentioning a few things about the game itself.

Yooka-Laylee is an all-new open-world platformer from genre veterans Playtonic! Explore huge, beautiful worlds, meet (and beat) an unforgettable cast of characters and horde a vault-load of shiny collectibles as buddy-duo Yooka (the green one) and Laylee (the wisecracking bat with the big nose) embark on an epic adventure to thwart corporate creep Capital B and his devious scheme to absorb all the world's books and convert them into pure profit! Using their arsenal of special moves, our heroes will tackle a huge variety of puzzles and platforming challenges in their search for Pagies, the golden bounty used to unlock and expand stunning new worlds, each jammed to the gills with oddball characters, hulking bosses, minecart challenges, arcade games, quiz shows, multiplayer games and much more!

I can't tell you how happy we were to finally play this game! To begin with, the very first aspect that really surprised me is the graphics and in general the art work of the title. They are really sharp, unique and create an amazing atmosphere for even the most demanding players. The world is really well created full of details and an amazing soundtrack as well is included. David Wise (Donkey Kong Country) and Grant Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie) combine for a melodic masterpiece!

As far as the new buddy duo is concerned, Yooka and Laylee boast an awesome arsenal of abilities built for platforming fun and unlocked with added freedom from the serpent salesman Trowzer. They are really amazing, their moves, the way they are both involved in the story as well as in the main gameplay, in the mini-games and in the whole Yooka-Laylee world. I can really talk forever about this game. The co-op mode is amazing as well. There are a lot of collectibles, tricky bosses, memorable characters and a lot of worlds to discover. Honestly, I can't think why someone wouldn't like this game and don't dare to ask me about negative aspects. There aren't any.

Honestly, this is a trip down the memory lane with new twists. It's like playing a game from your early childhood in 2017 and still love every aspect of it. BUY IT NOW! A really impressive piece of art.
